The beginning and intention 

I discovered my love of embroidery by accident as I tried to make my sister a handmade birthday present. I embroidered her backpack and found that I could do it and I enjoyed it. So I kept doing it. People started to like it and I decided to make them happy and create original embroidery to order. That's how my Výšivková víla came about. 

My work focuses mainly on embroidering linen bags, cosmetic bags and clothing. I think it is important that we take care of our nature and alleviate the pressure that is placed on it. I decided to contribute a little with my embroidery. I give a second chance by upcycling clothes and maybe with canvas bags I will convince a few people to take a nice accessory instead of a plastic bag. 

One of my goals is also to show people that hand embroidery is not just something our grandmothers do, but it is an activity that slows us down for a while in today's fast-paced world and may also teach us something about ourselves (for example, we find that we are not as clumsy as we thought or how much patience we are endowed with).

 I hope you like my products, because they are really made with love.

Who is Výšivková víla?

My name is Jana, I am 26 years old and I have been embroidering for about two years. I studied librarianship and information studies, but I soon realized that I wanted to handle my life differently, than sitting in the office. I started creating and I found that was exactly the thing I was missing. The more I devote myself to creation, the more I find out that it is something that I just enjoy more and more. 

I enjoy diversity the most about embroidery. You can embroider whatever you want, for whom you want to and how you want to. Just as you draw with a pencil on paper, you can draw with cotton on the fabric. Everyone can really do it, all you need is patience.

I am very glad that I can share my passion with you and that you allow me to fulfill my little dream.
